Full Position Description

Your ROLE (Logistics):

Reporting To: Project Executive

Where You Work: Washington D.C. (Hybrid)

Salary range: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00

Your Role (Responsibilities):

•        Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP systems in commercial construction projects.

•        Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

•        Work with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.

•        Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.

•        Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.

•        Maintain and update cost databases and estimating software.

•        Prepare and present estimate reports to management and clients.

•        Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and tender documents.

•        Monitor project costs and provide cost control support throughout the project lifecycle

What We NEED You to Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating MEP systems for commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction methods, and materials.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills and Competencies:

     
  • Experience with estimating MEP systems for commercial construction projects.
  • Outstanding communication skills for developing and delivering comprehensive reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated initiative, judgment, and discretion.
  • Proficient with estimating software like Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar programs.
