McKissack performed construction and development management services to ensure work is performed as required and within budget and schedule.
The redevelopment will preserve portions of the historic elements of the site, including sand storage bins, all four regulator houses, a sand washer, 11 filter bed portals and two acres of underground filter beds. The development will also re-establish the “Olmsted Walk” around the property. The project will ultimately include 146 townhomes, 531 apartments, grocery store, retail, over 1 million SF of healthcare facilities, 8-acre central park with open space, 17,000 SF community center, walking trail, and preservation of historic components of the site. Services included scheduling, budget control, entitlements, bidding evaluation, and field construction requirements.
