Your ROLE (Logistics):
Reporting To: Project Executive
Where You Work: Washington D.C. (Onsite)
Salary range: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00
Your Role (Responsibilities):
- Project Leadership: Lead the design and development of green infrastructure projects, including stormwater management systems, green roofs, permeable pavements, and rain gardens.
- Sustainable Design: Integrate sustainable practices and innovative technologies into project designs to enhance water quality, reduce run off, and promote environmental sustainability.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and objectives, providing expert guidance on green infrastructure solutions.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and best practices.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers, designers, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with community stakeholders, government agencies, and other relevant parties to promote project goals and address any concerns.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of design documents, specifications, and construction plans to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Innovation: Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in green infrastructure and water management, incorporating new ideas into project designs.
What We NEED You to Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in green infrastructure design or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable design principles, stormwater management, and water quality improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional Credentials: Professional Engineer (PE), LEED Accreditation, or other sustainability certifications.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with demonstrated initiative, judgment, and discretion.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote.
- Experience with water and wastewater projects.
- Experience with public outreach and community engagement.
- Outstanding communication skills for developing and delivering comprehensive reports.
