Your ROLE (Logistics):
Reporting To: Project Executive
Where You Work: Washington D.C. (Hybrid)
Salary range: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00
Your Role (Responsibilities):
- Conduct thorough audits of payment applications submitted by contractors to verify accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Ensure that all work claimed for payment has been completed satisfactorily.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure that all construction activities meet the required standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to identify any deviations from quality standards.
- Review and evaluate submittals, Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, and other project-related documents to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of daily inspection reports and correspondence.
- Assist in managing and organizing project documentation, ensuring that all documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
- Track and update document revisions and ensure that the latest versions are used.
- Identify and document any work that does not conform to project specifications or standards.
- Work with contractors to address and rectify non-conforming work.
- Assist in the processing of change orders and claims, ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted.
- Help revise project schedules and budgets tor eflect changes in scope or unforeseen circumstances.
- Support the project closeout process, ensuring that all final inspections are completed and documentation is finalized.
- Assist in the preparation of closeout reports and ensure that all project deliverables are met.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and construction managers.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and any issues that arise.
What We NEED You to Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience working and managing commercial construction projects
- Strong knowledge of airport construction regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
Skills and Competencies:
- Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CCM).
- Experience working with airport authorities and regulatory agencies.
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and requirements.
- At least 1 year of experience managing large-scale airport construction projects, preferably at IAD.
